Hardy Perennial. This perennial is usually grown as a biennial. The English Daisy blooms with pansies, tulips and primroses for a lovely combination of early spring-flowering perennials and bulbs. The tiny blossoms can be double or single and come in a large variety of colors (white, lilac, rose, red or wine with golden centers) and sizes. In Zones 8 to 10, the English Daisy is treated as a winter-blooming annual. In the coldest regions of Zone 3, it may need re-seeding each spring. Tolerates full sun, but will need some shade in hot climates. Fertilize lightly during the growing season for best results. Mulch in winter in cold climates. For best performance, divide every 2 to 3 years after flowering. Seeds may be sown in late summer outdoors in mild climates.
