Hardy Perennial. Beautiful blue flowers are borne on 2 to 3 foot stalks and flowers appear freely from August to September. Will self-sow so you may want to remove spent flower stalks. Great Blue Lobelia will need dividing every few years. A recommended cultivar that is superior to the species is 'Blue Peter', developed by Alan Bloom.
