Hardy Perennial. A tall and graceful plant for the back of the border. Grows to an impressive 8 feet high and in mid to late summer produces panicles of white flowers which nod in the breeze. Will perfom well in rich, moist soil that is exposed to full sun. A pond edge or bog would be a good choice for this large perennial. May become invasive so dividing is recommended every 3 to 4 years. Will self-sow. Anthracnose is a problem in warm, wet areas.
