Whenever you run your clothes dryer, it draws a lot of air out of your house continuously as long as it runs. All of this indoor conditioned air that is drawn outdoors, is replaced by hot humid air leaking indoors through crack, windows, doors, etc.
In my own home, my clothes dryer is in a small utility room. Whenever I run my clothes dryer, I close the door to the utility room and I open a window just a little in both summer and winter. Most of the air the clothes dryer is drawing outdoor is coming in the window and not from the rest of my house. This saves money and keeps your house more comfortable.
